...And his stories began

The omens are not cheering.
The grim realities facing the continent are frightening and justifiably so.
Those entrusted with the commonwealth have taken more than
the children of the house and there is wailing.
You dare not search for the faces of those whose faces are tear-filled
if you are lilly-livered.
You will be dazed by the kwashikor ravaged children on the potridden holes overtaken by garbage of a near-century;
the genocide of manics and
the stench filled accounts of stolen money will confound you.
Dare not! I warn you! Hey, do not run away from the ethnic conflicts,
warped elections and failed economic magic.
Come let me tell you this tale by the fire place of how it all began
and where the new beginning will come.
